The President of Transparency International- Macedonia participated on the 10th session of the Conference of States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption.
Taseva took an active part in several panels and participated in the discussions of the plenary sessions.
On December 11, as part of the GI TOC Panel entitled: GI TOC Using the global Organized Crime Index to Analyze Corruption, (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vMxY_QOKJdg) Taseva spoke about the importance of all international instruments and established national and international agencies to act together in the fight against corruption and organized crime efficiently. She particularly emphasized the need for usage of the opportunities for joint action and international cooperation and other provisions contained in the two conventions of the UN UNTOC and UNCAC simultaneously and in a coordinated manner.
On December 12 on invitation by the Carter Center in Atlanta and the Integrity Initiatives International, Taseva participated on the panel “From Support to Governance: Global Anti-Corruption Pathways, Program for Multifaceted Approaches to Prevent Corruption and Enhance Accountability”. The panel was dedicated to the need for cooperation and assistance between states regarding investigative and prosecutorial strategies to combat corruption. This side event reviewed considered how lessons learned may be applied in global judicial terms: through a permanent and specialized International Anti-Corruption Court.
Taseva was honored to make closing remarks on the topic of The Need for an International Anti-Corruption Court.

On 14.12, within the framework of the Plenary session at which non-governmental organizations were also invited, Taseva spoke within the framework of point 5 – Asset Recovery and point 6 – International cooperation from the agenda.
She particularly emphasized the need for the measures imposed by the Department of State based on the Foreign Operations, and Related Programs Appropriations Act, within which a longer list of persons, business people and former office holders and members of their families, who under Section 7031(c) have become ineligible for entry into the United States in a situation where there is relevant information that they have been involved, directly or indirectly, in high corruption or serious human rights violations.
In her speech, Taseva pledged that the international instruments for property recovery and investigations should be available and used in such cases, especially in cases where the institutions in the country are weak and inefficient and have lost their credibility and integrity.
